Crispy Baked Chicken Wings

The Sunday of the Super Bowl is almost here!

Honestly, I hope the chiefs win. Don’t get me wrong, Tampa Bay is an awesome place. My husband and I stayed there the first night and last night of our honeymoon. We had a waterside view from our hotel and got to watch a dolphin splash around. We walked to a restaurant nearby and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

But that is exactly why I hope the chiefs win. Kansas City is hands down the most depressed area I have ever seen. Everyone there looked so sad and grumpy (and yes, this was pre-pandemic times). I just feel like they really need this win. It’s kind of like Cleveland in a lot of ways… a little dreary, dingy and not too much going on except Kansas City gets more tornadoes.

But that is all irrelevant to this post. Here is the best baked chicken wing recipe that I know you want. Also, I made a sub-par instructional video below.


2 lbs chicken wings

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp salt

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp baking powder

Buffalo Sauce


Line a baking sheet with foil – spray with non-stick spray (I use olive oil)

Mix together your dry ingredients (salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, baking powder, garlic powder)

Season the chicken by sprinkling your dry powder mixture over the chicken wings evenly.

Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes – flip them – and then bake for another 25 minutes.

Make sure they are done to your liking and then toss in the sauce!

Serve with veggies and enjoy!

This sauce is fancy.
